I have yet to figure out why people insist on LIVING under, beside, below, etc a volcano - especially one that they know erupts periodically. That's like living on a fault line...
Yes, WE are close to hurricanes but we are 95 miles from the coast... no fault lines within too many miles and no volcanoes!
Of course, if the huge caldera that is Yellowstone goes we're all toast so guess it doesn't matter...
