Hi Sharon, I just looked at my featherweight. That knob is higher up on mine. Like your higher one. I don't have a clue if that is suppose to be like that. Billy or Charlee will probably know. Beautiful machines though!

I think it has something to do with the year it was made and the fact that later on the engineers probably changed up the design a bit just to make an improvement.
Like it was said earlier you just move the winder to the wheel and your good to go!!
