OR you can work closely with the farmer. I work with a group that does all the raising I help with the processing. I work with a local butcher that raises his own beef and pork or will hook me up with a farmer. I have my own egg hens. Last year my garden failed due to tomato blight :cry: Still haven't decided if I am putting one in this year, my back is screaming no right now.

My farmer friends have a good saying... You can pay the farmer a little more now or you pay the doctor a lot more later.
