Good idea. I so something similar. I also dump baking soda, followed by brown vinagar in the drains. After 30 minutes I flush with hot water.
hey,i use a half gallon of vinegar/hot water, in my washing machine about once every couple months..it is supposed to get rid of the gunk and any smells,caught in any traps or hoses.(sort of like doing it to the coffee pot) plus it only smells like "easter" for a little while! lol!
when i do the garbage disposal, i use lemon and ice cubes..
