I don't know how many hours you sew, but remember you have to design the pattern, cut your templates, select the fabrics, cut them and sew your strata before you can actually start working on the quilt itself. It is definitely not a weekend project, but once you get going is hard to stop. The ironing of your strata is what will determine how well your seams will match and there are lots of matching seams.
