Yes I am going to do a Tutorial on the irons!! I have a set of New Home irons that need some serious TLC and it should give you an idea as to what to do when dealing with them. There is actually two ways of finishing the irons, one is with oil and the other is paint. I am going to paint mine but the oil finish is really close to a factory looking japan finish.
Also you will learn how to make a Pitman arm if yours is a wooden one like mine. (1870ish)
