I was given my Grandmother's rug hooking frame about 10 years ago when she was breaking up her house. Along with tubs of fabric strips. She gave them to me because I used to draw the stuff on the burlap for her to hook. She also taught me. I have a pillow I made when I was about 13 or so. It's not in style but I keep it put away. I wish I had some of her rugs she made- they were beautiful.
I have a hook my Great Grandfather made for my grandmother- I have no idea how long ago. I have my hook she gave me when I was learning. It has a dot of pink nail polish on the end so I could tell it apart from hers.
I wouldn't part with it for anything. (And I know my sisters are jealous that I have it.)
