I used flannel top/bottom 2-1/2 yds each side. Cotton batting. My pillow cover square is about 20-1/2 inches.
When my feet are hanging off of the footrest, they fit nicely in the 'pillow' and I can even cross my ankles - doesn't get any better than this on a cold evening watching tv!!
