I have a quilt top .. the story according to my mother is: that her mom's grandmother made it, she made three tops and mine is the only one left, the other sisters "lost" theirs along time ago. According to my Aunt Clanny, she said that "granny" didn't make that top. I kind of tend to go with my mothers version as her mother told it to her and she would know best. One of these days I am going to quilt it. It has to be at least 60 years old or my guess, is older.
