This quilt was made my another great grandmother who was wheel chair bound for the last few years of her life. After she was diagnosed with terminal cancer she hand pieced 3 tops, this is mine. (My mother has the other 2). She died when her only daughter, my grandmother was only 16. Counting Effie, down to my daughter, that makes 5 generations with one girl child.

I wonder about Effie, I hope she was thinking that one day someone would consider this a treasure.
