When my son was hurt in Iraq his first tour, he was taken to Balad and then flown home. He was given a quilt from someone in Iraq to bring home. Unfortunately it was lost in transit but he did say it meant the world to him to know that he was thought of.

Some of you already know that my son is back in Iraq for the 2nd time and before that he was in Bosnia/ Afghanstan.
My daughter celebrated her 21st birthday there and now my granson just joined. Hopefully they will never get one of the Q of V.

I was nominated for a QOV quilt,, and I have not received it yet,, but I want to thank you for your sons sacrifice to Iraq, I spent almost 11 months there,, I was due to come home and we got hit,, some did not make it,, and others were injured,, I was so so lucky,, I was injured,, but I appreciate those that are there, going there or have been there.... :cry:
