No, there is no hand quilting on it. It is machine pieced and just tied, not quilted. There is some red colored basting thread putting the sandwich together on the edges of the quilt. I guess it was never removed and I have left it in. When I first got it, I was not quilting, but I was doing handwork. Now that I quilt, I can't believe that she used such small squares, but I am glad she did.
