Bevanger, Kathy is right about the pattern, and Feathers explained it perfectly. I just changed it a little bit. The blocks measure 8 square. There is several alternatives to laying out this pattern. Just play around with the layout and see what you like best. It is very easy and quick to do. It took me a few hours to sew it together. I think it would look great in the disney princess.
