Delilah, I love this quilt. Can you give complete directions for it by writing ea. step?[/quote]
I'll try, let me know if you need more information.
From each fabric cut (160) 3.5" squares
From each fabric cut (160) 2" squares
Draw diagonal line on back of 2" squares*
Sew 2" sq of fabric 2 on corner of each of fabric 1
Sew 2" sq of fabric 1 on corner of each of fabric 2
Trim excess off points using your preferred method
Press all units toward dark
Rotate & join 4 units to form one block (6.5" unfinished)
(attaching picture of 4 blocks joined)
Nestle seams when joining blocks for nice points
Quilt shown has 8 blocks across and 10 down
First border uses 2" strips, finished 1.5"
Final border uses 4.75" strips
(probably because I was running out of fabric?)
*I don't draw lines because I have diagonal line drawn on my machine to line points up when sewing. You can use painters tape for this, also.
Do let me know if you want more info and I'll try to clarify.
Please share your quilt with us when/if you make this one.
