Wow, I can't believe I won. Guess I better share my secrets :D

For the last 2 years I had battled with MRSA. It is a staph infection that is resistant to antibiotics. I have had 11 rounds of it and I had enough. I ended up doing some research online and found a website that layed out what all MRSA loves and essentually feeds on. I ended up talking to my dr. and he thought I was crazy and just wanted to put me on more meds that are really strong. I ended up cutting processed sugar and beef completely out of my diet. The only sugar that I have is in fruits and veggies. Also, I make it a point to eat at least 1 salad every day. Lastly, back in Feb. we got a puppy and he loves to go for walks so we are taking at least 2 walks a day, some days more...many more.

Oh and another thing I did was every week I make a huge pot of minestrone soup and load it with veggies. It works out to 1 WW point per serving so it is almost like eating air (not really but you get the idea). Whenever I get hungry, I go straight for my soup and I don't feel bad if I have it since it is so low in calories.

Hubby has really gotten on board with my weight loss too. He is the type that can eat anything and never gain a pound but HE made the decision that if it was processed, it had to go. He has cut out all his snacking and it is helping me tremendously. We also stopped buying soda...even diet. I swear it makes you more hungry. I stick to just water now and I don't seem to get as hungry as often.

Well, I think I have rambled long enough. Keep up the good work everyone and good luck with the June challenge. June and July are always hard months for me as we have lots of birthdays...and bithday parties.

PS-I haven't had MRSA in 4 months which is a huge breakthrough for me. :D
