Welcome to the board! Glad Google led you here! :)

I had the spring updated on my BSR but still have to really fiddle with all the other variables to keep the skipping away. For a regular quilt (just 100% cotton batting, cotton fabric top and bottom) I have to use a 90/14 Microtex needle and adjust the foot pressure. I tried using a smaller needle the other day and got skipped stitches right away. I have to put my foot pressure somewhere in the high 20's I think. Depends on my seam bulk but if you put it at 0 like the manual says, you'll get skipping.

It was frustrating at first because I couldn't figure out what the issue was. I thought it was supposed to be plug and play but that wasn't the case. It takes some tweaking and finding out what works best for different quilts.
