There is a lot of personal satisfaction in completing a quilt. I find that alternating between more challenging and easy is the best way for me. In fact, my very very simple crib quilts is the easy one for me. I work on some in stages between other projects - such as pin basting a few then later will quilt them, trim the edges and apply binding. They may sit awhile and then I do the binding by hand while watching tv. I often will pick up a new pattern or book that is very easy just to do a new technique. Recently I worked in a few Little Dresses and Boy Shorts to be sent overseas. I learned how to use my serger while doing those, then back to more difficult stuff.
