You and I share some of the same maladies. I have the same problem with my feet. I went to see the doctor and when he measured my feet, I wondered why my feet were still 'growing'. He explained that they are getting flatter and therefore 'bigger', Anyhow he recommended the Birkenstock Blue Foot Beds. They are made of a type of cork and fit into your regular shoes. I had been having plantar fascitis and this took care of that and I have been wearing the now for years. You can find them in all the good shoe shops, or do a search on the name.
