Sherrie, that sounds like a good plan. It will let your daughter have some first hand experience in what it takes to make this adorable baby quilt. Quilts are beautiful, but they don't just fall out of the sky! I got my daughter involved in quilting for much the same reason. Her first quilt was a king-sized one for her bed!!! She's having it quilted now. And she's already started a paper-pieced wall hanging for her bedroom. The quilt bug bites hard!!! Good luck with your project and have a wonderful summer.
