Cut a 7 1/2" square for a center and put the 4" squares around the center square. You can use decorator stitches through the center square to liven it up or fussy cut. I made one like this, except I had an abundance of 1 1/2" squares. It turned out pretty neat.
I like this idea. I have a lot of 4 inch squares left over and would like to do something with them. Might try this, thanks!
