It's crazy isn't it. I got an extra 20 (after hours) at a teller machine at the bank one time. I had to go back the next day, go inside, and explain what had happened. Got kindof the same runaround (including the fake money test). Talked to 3 different people before I finally got someone to take the money back. I think they're genuinely baffled why you do the right thing.
