I did have some trouble setting it up with a big quilt, on the grass, on a somewhat windy day (attached picture - DH is holding one pole steady) - but on a flat surface, without the wind, it will work great.

The backdrop is really cool. Thanks for sharing. Also the quilt is gorgeous. I think I have seen it in one of your posts but like you said not like this.
