Not sure what you mean by gluing it all together .
But the batting can just be sewn together. Butt the edges up against each other , use a wide stitch( that will catch both edges) and you should be fine .
As for the binding matching the final border , I like mine to match so they don't stand out so much. It is a personal decision on what you like.
