I can't remember precisely, but I'm pretty sure it's 54", and it is a heavier weight cotton weave, but certainly not heavy like canvas, just a sturdy weight like a medium weight twill, and cotton, so not a dry clean fabric. I think they have lots of washable, because they cater to young families with kids and most of their stuff is wash friendly, that I've found.
