Hi Everyone ! Well, I vaccumed the underside and used my needlenose tweezers to get all the stuff out.Took some photos.illy you'll be very pleased to know that I actually sewed on the machine ! Put in a new needle there were some bobbins already wound with thread.Yeah! Cleaned out the bobbin case area.but there is a red piece of fabric that looks like a wick it's just to the right of the button you push to get the bobbin out of the case. It's attached to or inside a little metal ring of wire that looks like a spring. I removed some of it but I think it's supposed to be there .(photo). There is something wrong with the presser foot lever, it snaps down without moving the lever. I opened that area and the only way it will raise is by me physically doing it using the flat end of a screwdriver as a lever. Don't worry Billy, I put a towel under the screwdriver so it wouldn't scratch anything. Then when I use the machines lever to lower the presser foot it snaps down and I cannot raise it. MY Maggie Has no rust anywhere! When I turned the hand wheel(whatever was left of it) to sew the only noise I heard was a very soft tic, tic . It was rythmic and I could imagine those are the very gentle sounds that are normal to a treadle. Almost like a train moving over the tracks. The exterior metal needs to be cleaned and the rest of it could use a good polishing. The bobbin area seems to be intact. It is a little loose. The metal cover for the top of the bel tis lloose. I think that might also be part of the bobbin. it might be loose because there's no belt-- I don't know. Billie- Kenz is generously offering to take his broken apart for anything that I might need. He said the wheel will need some restoration. the wheel that broke off my machine was almost perfect. :(. The serial # for his machine is G9250054. He will send me photos.

see the red cloth/wick?
