It's wonderful. I use fresh or canned, brushed with a little butter and grilled on both sides. When I turn the first (cooked) side over. I brush the second side with a little butter, sprinkle on some white or brown sugar or maybe brush with some honey. By the time the second side has nece grill marks on it, the sugar has glazed the fruit. It's so good with ham or any pork or as part of a dessert or with ice cream.
If I'm not grilling, I do it on the stovetop in a cast iron skillet the same way. Sometimes I throw some maraschino cherries in the skillet to get glazed. It's really good.
