no tv or computer allowed in my sewing room, my sewing room is for sewing; if i had my computer in there i would never get anything done. some times i get wrapped up in looking for some special piece of fabric and i'll (waste) an hour just pawing through my fabrics...but when i'm organized and go in to sew i can get alot done. i try to save sorting/searching for in the evening when we are out watching tv, then i'll take a tote to the livingroom and sort everything in piles all around my chair...my dh gets a kick out of me doing this:) so does the cat...
i take books, magazines, and graft paper to work with me to look through and use...so sewing room time is productive time...there are certainly times though when i spend 2-3 hours in there and don't get anything done.
i try to get something done to show for my time...even if it's just a block cut out. i spend between 1 and 6 hours a day in my sewing room. although i would never get anything done if a tv was in there i do have a stereo i could not sew without :)
