We do have rather alot creepies here...just as well I like nature, but as you say NOT in the house - thankfully I have only seen a couple of those centipedes and I ALWAYS wear something on my feet, even during the night if I need to take a tinkle my flip flops are positioned just so I can slip my feet straight into em even in the dark
I think I would grab the tops of the flip flops with my toes & shake them out before sticking my feet into them. LOL
