:thumbup: If you can effort it, go for it....
Its not necessary but it can help you a lot especially if you decide to make the quilting by yourself ....: so just before you make your binding: serge all the corners.....You will love your serger....
And yes..its very helpful with many other projects.... (I have the Brother 1034D serger which wasn't too expensive and works great for me...
