I have been piecing on a very part time basis for about a year, but have sewn all my life. I find I am a fabric & pattern collector more than a sewer. I have 6 grandchildren & one day will have quilts finished for all of them. Even though, I am a newbie, I tend to rethink every pattern I do. Knowing how to sew & read a pattern isn't always an asset! lol I have really enjoyed all the topic lines on this forum & have learned much. My love of bright colors & art quilts are leading me as I learn with conventional basic patterns. The summers in LA are so hot, that it is a perfect time to work on piecing.
