Your machine looks like a sweetheart. My 37 year old 830 Bernina is still sewing her heart out too. I got a new mid-range Pfaff 4 years ago, and she is in the shop now, her motherboard went out and of course she waited until the warrenty is run out. I have real old Pfaff, made somewhere in the 1940-mid 50's, that is my backup machine. It has all metal parts and a chain drive. When I had it serviced the guy said it was made in Germany long time ago, so maybe in the '40's. Like you I won't part with my old babies.
