Warriors in Transition (WT) are more commonly referred to as Wounded Warriors. they are military service members who've been seriously injured in the line of duty. the Army switched to WT because the soldiers prefer to focus not on their injuries and [sometimes permanent] disabilities, but on their future. they're assigned to special units on installations where the type of medical care and other support they need is available. from there they either return to full active duty or transition back into civilian life.
