My first viking was the rose, a very nice machine. They don't make the little cards anymore. Nor there isn't tech support from the company. All designs now are vip.3 and the software is 4D is wonderful and expensive, the new 5D will be out by Sept. For the rose there was a read/write machine that connects to your computer and put the design on the blank card, you put the card in the rose and stitch the design. I have the Viking Designer Diamond now, based on the limits of the embroidery half of the rose I wouldn't get it. If you want a great sewing machine then okay.
