Years ago, (about 14 I think) I told my sister about t-shirt quilts. In talking she mentioned all the nice shirts her son had and I said I would make a quilt out of them. So she started saving the shirts. Drew's senior year was coming up and she reminded me of this. Sent me home from Utah last summer with an extra suitcase full of t-shirts. Drew had no clue!! Shirts just went in the wash and sometimes never made it back to his dresser. Anyway, after much cutting and pressing and sewing this is what we (my hubby helps alot) came up with. Fronts of t-shirts are on the front and backs are on the back. I even managed to find places to use parts of the sleeves. It is basically a full-size quilt and very heavy. I used flannel instead of batting because some blocks just couldn't be quilted in the middle. What do you think??
