As a scrap quilter: I buy remnants (whatever size) if I like them, 1/2 yards if I have to have them, 2-3 yards of stuff for backings, borders, sashing, and fat quarters because I can't resist. No strips, jelly rolls, whatever you call those things. I can cut them myself. Again: As a scrap quilter: I love the variety I can accumulate for a bit of this and a bit of that with fat quarters. And whoever invented them is on my s... list 'cause I can't pass 'em by!
