I forget the thread where someone asked me about our aquaponics system. So I just started this one. It had to do with gardening of hormones in foods or something. I saw the question earlier but didn't have time to answer.
We grow tilapia fish in big tanks (we started with 350 fish or so). We have the water plumbed to grow beds where we grow veggies/flowers hydroponically. The water is filtered by the roots of the plants and is plumbed back to the fish. Cyclic action. We enjoy lots of fresh (organically grown) veggies all year long. We are taking this concept to third world countries. Already started in Haiti. We have on almost done there and will begin working with an organization there to plan five communities so the victims of the earthquake will build their own self sustaining community.
