Thank you all for your ideas. I am going to shampoo it before I try to dye it. It is definitely bleached out. It's a dark green carpet and now everywhere the soap fell the carpet is an off white/yellowish color. I like the sharpe idea but I will have to see if I can get one the right color, if not then after I shampoo it, I'm going in for the dye job. After these 2 grandkids I need to just replace the carpet in the den but I'm trying to hold out and get the den and 2 of the bedrooms replaced at the same time. I think I'll just try to do it myself until then, worst case scenerio it will look better than it does now. Thanks for your advice........and yes, she is too sweet to stay mad at for too long!
