I'm currently working on a Bow Tucks purse.

The pattern was easy enough to follow but there are some things that I will do differently on the next one(yes, I plan on making another one)

First, I would do the FMQ first, then cut the pieces I need. The FMQ changes the measurements slightly.

Second, I would also do some FMQ on the inside pockets. That would make them sturdier.

I also picked up some piping cord, the kind you would use when you make your own piping for upholstery projects. I used those in the handles, it seems to make them much more substantial. It's just a simple cotton batting that has been encased in a netting. Once you cut the end of it, it comes unraveled slightly, allowing for the batting to spread out a little so that it can be flattened down to attach it to the bag.

I'll post some pics of this one when I get it finished. I need to attach the button and do the top stitching along the top and then it's done.
