I use the latex exam gloves. I just cut off the fingers and use them. They only last one quilting session for me but I only use 2 at a time. One box holds 100 gloves = 500 fingers. I use them to pull the needle -- they aren't much good in protecting your fingers like a leather thimble though. To me the finger cots are more like the latex gloves than thimbles.
