The event of my machine being used as a parts machine happened in 1978 (machine was 12 years old at the time), however, after talking with my MIL who lived 30-miles away I found my pot of gold. My MIL was an incredible seamstress (sewed couture outfits, quilts, and fabric toys), and with her help I bought a new machine from an established sewing machine shop in Nashua NH. Since then I have purchased 3 other machines from them and they are never too busy to help if I call with a question. I now live 150 miles away and still swear by their service. And, they even meet me halfway to pick up/return my machine! I treasure these amazing guys! My MIL's favorite saying was "Every disaster is an opportunity waiting to happen" and because of her I found my 5-star repair guys, as well as having the bond between us strengthen over our mutual love of sewing, her amazing son and our wonderful children.
