Another idea is to create a blanket roll/duffle bag.

Basically it is a rectangular piece with magnetic close on the short end and drawstrings on the long end. So when you bring the short ends up and close them and pull the drawstrings on the open ends, it is a duffle bag. This would be great for covering a sleeping bag, great for college kids to bring laundry home (oh, no), sew pockets into and for a hunter to store his stuff in.
