When we were in NC I made a gallon or more of sugar water a day for four feeders. We started out with a 3 to 1 ratio (water to sugar). After the first couple of gallons, we went to a 4 to 1 ratio. They were thick as flies. When a feeder emptied they would hover near me while I refilled it. Now I'm in VA, have only one feeder, and I'm lucky if I see one a day. And, boy, do I ever miss them!
