my 2 cents:
stitch a straight line thru the diagonal squares from point to point diagonally. then meander or stipple the backgroung insquares with fish. Leave fish unquilted but get close to them.
Great quilt by the way. My hubby would love it. We fish and hunt all the time. Summer is fishing, and winter is hunting
