And, a GREAT thought at that!

Last summer my DIL was visiting us at our home. I have been offering to help her sew for a long time. She went to one of my guild meetings and became VERY enthused about learning after show n' tell. (thank you members for all the quilts you shared)

She had her mini van with her so I gave her my Red Eye Singer 66 with a treadle style cabinet. We sat down and I started her sewing on a nine-square block. She has been going ever since. She treasures the machine and me getting her started. It has given me so much pleasure! It didn't cost me as much as a new machine would cost. DIL recently began to keep it in her dining room so she can sew when the kids are occupied in the afternoon.
