I have a lexmark printer also. When i first tried to install it, it wouldn't work either. But...........I went on the internet, downloaded new drivers for it and it worked just fine. I burnt the new drivers to a cd and now when I have to reinstall, I just use that cd and it always works. Just type in lexmark.com (I think!) and it should list the downloadable drivers.
