1. Read the measurement one more time before cutting.
2. If it's not going together right, walk away, come back later.
3. Pleasure is a requirement, perfection is not.
4. Visit the Quilting Board often.
5. Share your simplest pleasures and successes with other quilters. Non-quilters just don't understand.
