Hate to tell you grannie but you are considered a senior in Florida if you are 55 and over so you qualify. As to us seniors (I am 55)half my group here where I live are over 75 and I just love them, they are the best group for quilting, praying when one of us is sick, shopping and going out to lunch try some of the churches they usually have things posted in their church bulletins or maybe a senior center would direct you to some of them. We started ours by posting on a bulletin board at the local store set a time and place and behold people showed up interested. Good luck
