quilting is my therapy too. i taught myself to hand quilt 10 years ago. Then 4 years ago I was diagnosed at age 38 with stage 3 colon cancer then 1 year later it was upgraded to stage 4 which :means it had spread to the liver. It is in remission now for over a year due to treatment. and I love to quilt so i use that as my therapy. I like to listen to my music on my mp3 player and just tune the world out whether I am piecing a quilt on my machine or sitting and hand quilting.

When I go to the chemo clinic every Wed. morn. I take my quilting project with me and work on it there too as I am there from 9:00am until about 12:30pm. I'm known there as the quilting lady
