I made a king size Sunbonnet Sue quilt for my neighbor before I started selling my stuff. It was all hand made no sewing machine at all. I had time to do that then! LOL I don't like long seams but I can do them when needed.
I also made and sold two twin size Sunbonnet Sue quilts in pinks for a nurse I met in the hosp when I was staying with my dying grandma at nights 12 yrs ago.
I just find the large projects too much time invested and don't like the big seams!!! LOL
When I first started sewing 30 yrs ago I made a twin size quilt with a bolt of brown burlap my mom had given me. I appliqued letters and numbers all over it for my 5 yr old at the time. I backed it with muslin and used an old blanket for the batting and tied it. That was my first real quilt.
