And proud you should be! It is a beautiful quilt. It is so exciting to put the final stitch in a quilt that has been so long in the making. Almost all of my quilts are years in the making due to hand quilting. Your mitered corners on the binding look perfect to me. I can't possibly see how they could be any better. I also don't know about sewing the miter seam. I have heard it is required in judged shows but I never knew if that meant front and back? I have always sewn the back miter but never the front. I have only entered one show but it was a small local affair and I believe the only ribbons they hand out are vendors choice and peoples choice. I certainly did not get any kind of judges critique when I picked it up. It was fun to see the quilt hanging there though. You should enter it. You can find local shows through your guild and there is always state and county fairs.
